The group consist of companies, that manufacture furniture and building materials out of Amazonian hardwood from the Surinamese forest.

    Suriname Furniture Group presents the "Amazonian Furniture & Timber Trade Fair"

    The Suriname Furniture Group (SFG) presented the Amazonian Furniture and Timber Trade Fair from February 16 until February 18 2017 in the ballroom of Hotel Torarica in Paramaribo, Suriname. The Trade Fair was opened by Minister Ferdinand Welzijn of the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Tourism.

    The first two days of the Trade Fair were specifically held for about twenty potential international buyers, mainly from the Caricom.

    These buyers had the opportunity to have individual business-to-business meetings with the SFG members and got a chance to see the different factories, where the products are made. On the last day, the exhibition was open to Surinamese buyers and the Surinamese public.
